Proposed Faith Leader Accord
In the name of God, the Creator of Adam and Eve, we—faith leaders from the Evangelical Christian and Sunni Muslim communities—enter into this Accord as an expression of our commitment to shared moral concerns and common causes that serve the well-being of our congregations and the broader human family. While we hold differing theological convictions, we recognize that there are urgent areas in which our values align—such as the protection of children, the preservation of family, the defense of human dignity, the upholding of religious freedom, and the pursuit of peace and justice. By working together in these areas of agreement, we believe we can honor our respective callings, strengthen our own communities, and contribute meaningfully to the healing of society. This Accord is not a statement of theological unity, but of principled collaboration for the good of all.
VISION
Faith Leaders United in Commitment to the Common GoodIf the Evangelical–Sunni Common Cause Accord is embraced worldwide, it will mark one of the most significant faith-based alliances of the 21st century—uniting hundreds of thousands of pastors and Imams and millions of believers around shared moral convictions. Pastors and imams, acting independently as shepherds of their communities, will influence not only the hearts of worshippers but the course of societies. Together, they will drive legislative change in dozens of countries to protect family structure, religious freedom, and children’s rights. Their united voice will shape the discourse at global institutions like the United Nations, the EU Parliament, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, pushing for principled frameworks that reflect the dignity of life, the sacredness of the family, and the necessity of moral education. Through coordinated advocacy, they will help reverse trends in ideological extremism, racial division, and the erosion of moral values. As a result, families will flourish under renewed cultural and legal protections, children will grow up with greater security and hope, and religious communities will become known not for their rivalry, but for their moral clarity, courage, and compassion. This Accord will inspire a new model of multifaith partnership—one rooted not in theological compromise, but in unwavering commitment to the common good.
